#WeRemember – November Pogroms 1938

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the November pogroms in 1938, the World Jewish Congress in cooperation with the Central Council of Jews in Germany and the Israelite Religious Society in Austria, will digitally recreate synagogues, that were destroyed or damaged at that time. During the night of November 9th to November 10th 2023, the digitally reconstructed synagogues will be projected onto existing buildings, rebuilt synagogues or onto digital screens. Additionally VR glasses will be used at various cities, to give the viewers a more realistic impression of the synagogues interior from the past. The project includes synagogues in Germany and Austria.
